High School Equivalency Preparation Classes
Union ALC provides High School Equivalency test preparation classes throughout Northeast Oklahoma.
Class schedules are determined each year based on the interest of prospective learners.
The Union Adult Learning Center, operated by Union Public Schools, is a regional program based in Tulsa and grant-funded by Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, Lifelong Learning Section.
Test Fees
All classes offer quarterly enrollment and offered free of charge.
However, the GED and HiSET tests are offered with a fee set by Pearson VUE Testing Services and HiSET/ETS Testing Services.
High School Equivalency Testing
Getting your high school credential could be the most important step you take. Currently two options are available in Oklahoma for high school equivalency testing.
All testing requires a government issue photo ID that must be shown at test check-in time.
GED Test
The GED test is a computer-based test offered through Pearson VUE, and tests must be scheduled through GED.com.
Students will need to create a free account and schedule their tests through this site. All testing fees are set by Pearson VUE and Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.
Testing fees must be paid online through the GED website with a valid credit/debit card when scheduled. Unfortunately, cash or checks are not accepted.

Scoring
Minimum scaled score of 145 on each subject area test
HiSet Test
HiSET test is an alternative to the GED test offering students state-issued high school equivalency credentials. These tests are offered in both computer and paper and pencil format. Registration and fees are scheduled through the HiSet website at hiset.org.
Students will need to create a free account and schedule their tests through this site.
All fees must be paid online through HiSET with a valid credit/debit card, when scheduling to test with Union Adult Learning Center. Unfortunately, cash or checks are not accepted.

Minimum 8/20 on each subject area test AND obtain 45 total points between the five subject tests
Attendance
Success on High School Equivalency tests is greatly influenced by consistent class attendance and active participation with available resources. The availability of classes is directly impacted by student attendance and participation.
Transcripts
Transcripts for the High School Equivalency Diploma are available through Parchment. It is a website that manages the transcript distribution of student transcripts to students and post-secondary institutions.
Graduates must make a free account on the Parchment website and their credentials must match those that they used to register for the GED or HiSET tests exactly.
