ESL Classes
English as a Second Language Classes
Union Adult Education offers English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for adult students. Our classes help improve an English learner’s listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
Students take a pretest upon enrollment in order to place them in the appropriate class level. After attending 45 hours of instruction, each student takes a post-test to measure their language acquisition.
In-person and virtual classes are available to our students. Classes run throughout the traditional school year and new students can enroll quarterly. ESL
Classes are free of charge.
Attendance
Success in learning English as a Second Language is greatly influenced by consistent class attendance and active participation with available resources. The availability of classes is directly impacted by student attendance and participation. The rate of success in learning the English Language is directly impacted by a student’s commitment to class attendance and personal practice.
