English as a Second Language Classes
We offer free morning and evening English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for adult students. Our classes help students improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Students will take a pretest upon enrollment and posttest after 40 hours of instruction to measure their language acquisition.
Classes meet virtually and are leveled by the individual students’ abilities. Currently four levels of classes are offered. Classes run throughout the traditional school year and new students can enroll quarterly.
Success in learning English as a Second Language is greatly influenced by consistent class attendance and active participation with available resources. The availability of classes is directly impacted by student attendance and participation. The rate of success in learning the English Language is directly impacted by a student’s commitment to class attendance and personal practice.
Union Adult Learning Center partners with CAP to provide English Language Classes to students who are co-enrolled in the CAP program. Free English classes are available to parents of children enrolled at CAP Tulsa who want to learn beginning- , intermediate- and advanced-level English. Each course is specifically designed to meet your unique needs and help you improve your conversational English skills
We offer beginning, intermediate and advanced classes, based on skill. You will also have a coach who will support and guide you. And unlike other ESL classes, our program provides childcare and family support services, at no cost to you!
Students MUST be co-enrolled in other CAP programming.
